A Quick Update on the Boys 💙💙

First, everything is okay! Sorry for being a little quiet the last few days. It’s honestly just been hectic, but in the best possible way.

Having two babies who can now cry, want to be held, want attention, and actually want to play is a TOTAL shift. 😂 It’s amazing and everything we’ve been waiting for, but also a little exhausting! We’re learning a whole new version of these boys, and they’re definitely keeping us busy.

Thankfully, Dad is here for the next 2 days, so we get to do this together… hold them, play with them, learn their new routines, and just enjoy being their mom and dad.

This weekend is officially a no-change weekend. We’re letting both boys settle in and will reevaluate everything on Monday.

Colton: On Monday, we’ll start discussing his home vent and what the possibilities are for moving in that direction. We’re still likely a few weeks away because our little nugget just needs to keep growing. He’s doing great, he’s just little! 💙

Declan: His job is simple but BIG: keep breathing. He’s still breathing a little heavier than we’d like, but he has to learn how to do all of this on his own. That means getting out of bed, being held, playing, moving around and simply doing baby things. The more he does, the stronger he’ll get. He has been stuck in bed for 6 months!!! He needs time.

Everything continues to move in the right direction, and right now we’re just giving them time.

And yes… pictures are coming! 🥹 After this weekend, I’ll start sharing more. I want Dad to have the chance to enjoy these moments and share some himself first. If you’re family or a friend and dying to see them before then, just shoot me a text. 💙

For now, we’re going to enjoy a quiet weekend with no big changes, lots of snuggles, and two very needy little boys. And we wouldn’t have it any other way. 🙏💙
