Aug 20th - heart is torn…

Today was one of those days where my heart was in two places at once. ❤️

Leaving the boys last night felt impossible. I cried pretty much the entire car ride home and somehow missed them before I had even officially left. I know they’re doing amazing and are in the best hands, but that doesn’t make walking away any easier.

Then… 4 AM came quickly. 😴✈️ Ryan and I headed to the airport for our 7 AM flight to Seattle!

We landed, checked into the hotel, and apparently decided sleep was optional. 😂 We walked to Pike Place Market, shopped around and grabbed lunch, then made our way to the Space Needle. We did the IMAX and Chihuly Glass Garden, hopped on scooters back to the hotel, and rested for a whopping ONE HOUR before heading right back out.

Then it was off to the pier for some shopping, drinks and an absolutely beautiful sunset cruise. And because we clearly hadn’t done enough in one day, we ended the night at a whiskey bar.

And while Mom & Dad were running around Seattle… the boys had quite the adventure of their own! They did AMAZING today and even went to the ZOO with Nancy! 🥹🦁🐒

Being away from them is so much harder than I can put into words. But I also know how much Ryan and I needed these few days together to have some fun, recharge and just be us for a little while.

Today was a really good day for all four of us. ❤️

And judging by the pictures below… I’m not sure who had the better adventure today…Mom & Dad or Colton & Declan. 😂
