A Big Week Ahead… Prayers for Declan 💙🙏

We had such a great weekend with the boys. Ryan came for a day and brought his dad, Grandpa, who got to hold and feed Colton. It was such a special moment and a memory we will always hold onto. 💙

This morning, I woke up early to spend a few hours with the boys before heading home for the day. I surprised Ryan at his softball game and I got some much-needed time with him and Riley. Riley and I have basically been attached at the hip all day and the snuggles will continue all night. 🐾❤️

But the biggest reason for this post is simple:

WE NEED PRAYERS FOR DECLAN. 🙏💙

This is a BIG week for our little guy.

We’ve continued adjusting his ventilator settings, and he is doing AMAZING. He doesn’t even seem to notice that he is doing more and more of the breathing work on his own each day.

In true Declan fashion, he just keeps showing us what he can do.

At midnight tonight, he starts his steroids as we prepare for what could be a very important week ahead.

We aren’t getting ahead of ourselves. We know how quickly things can change in the NICU. But right now, we are hopeful.

So please send all the prayers, wishes, positive thoughts and hope our way this week.

Pray for strong lungs. Pray for his body to be ready. Pray for his doctors and nurses. Pray for peace for Mom and Dad. And most of all, pray for our sweet Declan.
