A Weekend Full of Love 💙💙
Dad came to visit this weekend, as he always does, and we had the BEST time! From naps and full bottles to a little playdate together, it was one of those weekends that made life feel a little more normal. Like maybe, just maybe, things are finally moving in the right direction.
And goodness, does that feel good.
We also spent Sunday cleaning the house and getting things ready… like running to different stores to exchange diapers…. The boys are so big now…. The diapers we got, are too small. All good things! It felt nice to be parents…& together!
Colton 💙
Our sweet Colton is still working on one big thing… GROWING! He is taking more and more from his bottle, sitting in his high chair, and absolutely loving his swing. He is just the happiest little guy (well, most of the time 😉).
He has come SO far, and now we just need his little body to catch up. Grow, buddy, GROW! We are all waiting on you!
Declan 💙
Oh, Declan. He is a BABY in every sense of the word. And he makes sure EVERYONE knows it!
He loves to make his presence known. He sits in his doorway like the official greeter of the unit, making sure nobody walks by without acknowledging him.
He wants to be held, he wants attention, and apparently, ALL conversations must take place in HIS room.
Excuse me… you’re talking in Colton’s room?! HOW DARE YOU!
His little personality is something else, and I wouldn’t change a thing.
We are still waiting on a surgery date for him, and hopefully we’ll have some answers tomorrow. One more thing to check off the list as we keep working toward HOME.
And that’s really it for this weekend.
A short update because, for once, there isn’t a whole lot to report. And after everything these boys have been through, I’ll take that as a blessing.
Just two little boys being babies. Playing, eating, sleeping, smiling, and melting our hearts every single day.
I’ll be sharing more pictures on social media and adding a few below because these moments are just too precious not to share.
Eight months ago, we were praying for these boys to survive. Today, we’re watching their personalities shine, seeing them play together, and dreaming about the day we get to bring them home.
God is sooo damn good. 🙏🏻💙
We still have a road ahead of us, but look how far He’s brought us.
Keep those prayers coming. They’re working.
One day closer to HOME. 💙💙
