6am post procedure update 4/30

Good morning. Declan has been resting through the night. He did need a few oxygen adjustments, and we’re keeping a close eye on his output as he’s not peeing quite as much as he should, so the team is giving him more fluids to help support that.

On the positive side, his blood levels have come up, which has helped improve his blood pressure… both really encouraging signs. His stomach is still a bit puffy, which we expect for the next few days, but it’s something we’re watching closely.

He does seem more comfortable this morning, with his heart rate settling in the 140s. Right now, our strong little guy just needs rest, and we’re doing everything we can to give his body the time and support it needs to heal.

Colton had a tougher evening and early part of the night, as he was extremely fussy. We wanted to make sure he wasn’t in pain, so his care team adjusted some of his medication. After that change, he finally settled and slept so peacefully. He only woke briefly to be changed and then was up with bright eyes and a happy demeanor. It was so good to see him finally get the rest he needed.

We’re praying today is a smoother day for both of our boys….a day filled with rest, healing, and continued recovery. Thank you, as always, for lifting Declan and Colton up in your prayers. They sure need it right now.
