This weekend was an overall good one for the boys. They both were fussy because of the vaccinations that they got on Thursday and Friday, but have since relaxed.
Dad was back in town, and it meant so much to have that extra time together. These moments feel even more special right now. He got one on one time.
Colton has been doing really well overall. He’s had some very big diapers lately… and let’s just say, they are beyond stinky 😅 But we’ll take it as a good sign that things are moving! Right now, the biggest focus is helping him grow. The bigger he gets, the more his lungs can grow and strengthen, and that will help guide the next steps in how we support his lung disease.
Declan continues to amaze us. He is officially in a new bed now, the warmer, which means no more top. Such a big step, and a reminder of how far he’s come. He also has a big day coming up this Friday with his procedure. We’re feeling hopeful and anxious all at the same time, but mostly just ready to learn more and see how this helps us better understand what’s going on with his gut and what his long-term care will look like.
Both boys had a solid weekend, and we’re heading into this new week feeling hopeful and ready for more progress.
Please keep the prayers coming. We need Declan to stay stable leading up to Friday… and then we’re asking for a million (and a half) prayers for his procedure day. We’re hoping it brings answers, clarity, and the next step forward for our sweet boy.
