A lot has happened in the last 24 hours.
Colton is resting, and his lungs are continuing to clear and grow stronger. He’s officially off one of his machines and is on lower settings on the oscillator. (Shhhh… don’t tell him the less he knows, the better. He likes to fight it.) He’s still on steroids and a few other medications to support his growth and healing. We are so incredibly proud of him and the quiet strength he shows every day.
Declan has had some of the biggest changes. He had his 4th procedure this morning and did well. He received a new PICC line, and he is officially off the oscillator and onto a new ventilator. He’s breathing more on his own now, and it’s truly amazing to watch his lungs working. After everything this boy has endured, the small wins feel so big. He still has a long road ahead and needs all the prayers and support. He is our warrior. To say we’re proud is an understatement, we trust him completely and have so much faith in his strength.
Overall, we can’t say things are good or great just yet, but today, we can breathe a little easier.
Thank you for continuing to lift our boys up in prayer and love.
