Today was a good day for the boys. We are almost scared to say that out loud… but we’re thankful.

We had two amazing nurses today so mom felt comfortable enough to go home for a few hours. She got to see her first babies, the fur babies (puppies) and pack up a few more things for the room. It felt strange & hard to leave, but also good to breathe for a minute knowing they were in such good hands.

Overall, things went smoothly today.

Declan has still been a little up and down with his heart rate and oxygen levels. He’s been having some brady episodes, where he holds his breath and forgets to breathe for a bit. It’s scary, but part of him acting his preemie age and learning. The good news is his swelling and coloring are slowly getting better. And today he decided to be a little flirt, opening his eyes and looking around at the ladies. Tonight he made it nearly impossible for mom to leave… he just laid there staring at her…. 🥹🥹

Colton also had a good, steady day. Nothing big or new just resting, peeing, pooping, and being the sweetest boy. He always wants mom to hold his hand, and somehow manages to change his oxygen levels just enough to get her attention. She can’t say no to him… we are in trouble!

We’re hesitant to celebrate too loudly, but today felt like a small break from the constant stress. The boys are showing the doctors just how strong they are. For right now, we’re holding onto that.

Thank you for the continued prayers, love, and support, we still it. Praying Declan’s gut can get better and Colton continues to grow. 🙏🙏
