March 1st

Kylie was home for most of the day for our baby shower. We felt so incredibly loved and supported. It was overwhelming in the best way. Thank you to everyone who showed up, sent messages, and continues to carry us through this season.

Kylie made it back to the boys around 6pm and they clearly missed her. They were both so good… so good they both peed on her. NICU initiation complete…..

Colton still has a little bump on his left wrist. We’re not sure where it came from, so we’re just keeping a close eye on it. He is definitely finding his voice especially when he has a dirty diaper. He gets mad. But he is pooping a lot, which is such an answered prayer since he’s getting more feeds. More breast milk, more fortifier, more calories. Grow baby C, grow! Every little ounce feels like a victory.

Declan is surprising everyone. He is fighting so hard. Please keep the prayers coming. The surgeons will be by this week to review his belly. We truly believe he is starting to push out poop, which honestly feels like it could be a miracle. He also despises a dirty diaper. This dramatic little boy throws a full temper tantrum and turns his entire body dark red. He is feisty and we love that about him. Starting to show his personality like this brother.

Overall, the sense of normalcy yesterday and today has been good for Mom and Dad. But no matter where we are, our hearts are here in the NICU with our boys. Always. 💙💙
