Sharing a little update on the boys tonight. Overall, things feel steady, and we’re so grateful for that.
Colton
Colton had a stable night and is staying steady on his breathing support, needing about 60–70% oxygen right now. He’s continuing to tolerate his small feeds along with his IV nutrition. He finally pooped!! One looked like a massive Slug larger than his arm and then little pebbles you would find at the bottom of a river. This boy is something else. The nurses, doctors, staff and mom all had a lot of laughs… but all in all this is a great sign.
He seems comfortable overall, and his pain has been well controlled.
Declan
Declan is also staying comfortable on his ventilator and is needing a bit less oxygen than Colton right now (around 35–45%). He’s still not able to eat yet, so he’s getting all his nutrition through his IV.
He needed platelets today to help with some bleeding, but we’ve already seen improvement, which is such a relief. The team is being really gentle with his care to help his skin heal.
They’re continuing to treat his infection, and he’s on strong medications to help his body fight through everything. He’s being watched very closely…. We just need time for him to grow!
We’re thankful for a more stable day for both boys. Still taking everything moment by moment, but feeling grateful for the small wins.
Thank you for continuing to pray for them and for us 🤍
Poop photos!!!! 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

POOP!!! Yay for these stable days and wins. Keep growing baby boys!
