Feb 8th - 13th

Updated: 1 hour ago

Declan has had two procedures this week, one early Tuesday morning at 4am and another on Thursday at 2pm. His little body has been through so much in such a short time. Right now, things are very serious. We had a difficult conversation with his doctors about life-saving measures and what the coming weeks could look like. They are concerned about whether he will make it the next 3–4 weeks to be able to go back in and see what is happening inside his gut.

Every hour can change. Every day can shift the outlook. Even if he makes it to surgery, there is a possibility that what they find could be worse than expected and not survivable long term. That is the hard reality we are facing. But we are still believing.

We need a miracle. We are praying for God to heal him in ways medicine cannot predict. We are praying for his body to rest, for the antibiotics to work, for infection to clear, and for strength to return to his tiny organs.

Colton is fighting hard too. He is struggling with his lungs, but we believe we are starting to move in the right direction. The team is working to slowly wean some medications and adjust his settings, and he is doing better with those changes. He is retaining fluids and not urinating as much as they’d like, likely due to his medications, so we are praying for his kidneys to kick in and for his body to release the extra fluid.

This is the hardest stretch we’ve faced so far.

We need every prayer. We need strength. We need peace. And we need miracles.

We still have hope. We still have faith. We are still believing in our boys.

Please keep praying. 🤍
